Alice and I just got home after a two-part 377NM cruise.
Two weekends ago, we sailed 30 hours straight, double-handed from Perth Amboy, NJ to Greenport, NY where we left Cadence at Brewer Sterling Marina.
Last weekend we sailed to Newport, where we stayed on a mooring for 4 days. We saw the ACWS, worked from the boat, did the 4th of July thing at NYYC and sailed round Connicut (sp?) Island.
On Thursday, we passaged back West, picked up a mooring in Niantic and then onto Port Jefferson, a noisy, busy but friendly harbor.
Last night we rendezvoued with our friends Stuart and Shanna in beautiful Oyster Bay.
Home today down the East River, across NY Harbor finishing our cruise with a superb close reach home.
Amazingly Alice and I are still talking to each other.
Apologies for a dull but factual post. More interesting one to come.
Realmente te has puesto las cosas en perspectiva para me.I como la forma en que usted ha escrito su contenido. En pocas palabras, este artÃculo es la excelencia pura!
I kind of like the overview! Sounds like you are having a good sailing summer.
BTW, I was thinking of one of your “classic” posts the other day when Tillerman was talking about the interesting wardrobe choices on the US Olympic Sailing Team “meet the team” pages…he said something about the guys not being presented in Speedos and I realized that the first thing I think of when somebody says “Speedo” is “Captain Giblet Bag”!
Excellent. How cool is Greenport!
Tagal na nating hindi makita ang ganoong mahusay na artikulo, at sa partikular na salamat sa iyo upang ibahagi, ipaalam sa amin ang kapistahan para sa mata, at ipaalam sa amin sa higit pang kaalaman.
I will keep you and everybody intrested posted
