The last time I was on a sailboat in a position of responsibility (I had the tiller) we pearled and went ass over teakettle. (I’m no Tillerman.)

It’ easy enough to do. There was one occasion where I thought I would show off to my then 10 year old son what sailing a hobie was like. Unfortunately, I forgot how to tack it and flipped it in a stiff breeze. My son was fine but I was flung into the shrouds and have a lovely scar to show for it.
Didnt get on the water this weekend but did go to look at a boat that we might be buying. more on that later no doubt
