Looking for a good cause

If you cast our eyes down the page to the left, you will see an Amazon Maureen_dollar_sign_smaller_2Store widget. Yes, Messing about In Sailboats is entering the big world of eCommerce.

Before you start cries of “Sell-out”, I am doing it for a good cause. I have created an Amazon affiliate store featuring the CDs from the Top Sailing Songs list and my favorite sailing books. My plan is to donate all the affiliate proceeds to charity.

Here’s where you come in. I am looking for suggestions on who to donate the proceeds to. Please let me know any sailing related charities you think would be worthy recipients of the undoubted millions this venture is going to raise. As I recently lost two friends to cancer that is one area I am particularly interested in.

Next year, I will IPO! Watch out Bono, here come the sailing bloggers!
