1. Join a sailing club. Over the last few years my sailing has depended on “the kindness of strangers”. Well, mates with boats. This year, I will stop making excuses and join a sailing club and start crewing. Acting as rail-meat will be one way to put these extra pounds to good use.
2. Every week, I will do one thing to save the planet. OK, I am not going to become the next Al Gore but every week I will change one thing, and they will most likely be very small, very dull things, that help the environment.
From this week on, I will only buy re-cycled paper – Recycled toilet paper, paper towels, printing paper, etc.
Told you it would be boring!
Two rather good ones – mind if I borrow them?
Absolutely. Suggestions on #2, would be welcome
I like #2. Hope you’ll be posting every week about what you are doing to save the planet. We could all use good ideas.
They’re not boring at all. In fact, I applaud you for making them doable ones. Often times we make resolutions that are bigger than we can chew.
Have a Happy New Year!
My wife and I went through this last year on energy conservation. The low wattage “new” flourescent light bulbs work very nicely and consumer a third of the power of incandescent.
Not being wasteful seems to go a long way, imho.

Great if everyone did just one thing it would improve the world.. think environment!
