Thank you to all of you who have put your favorite places on the map. So far, there are 37 markers.
In the US: Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, California, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Massachussets, Maryland, New York,
Outside the US: UK, Netherlands, Turkey, BVI, Grenadines, Guadeloupe,
Thanks to Edward. Zen and Bluewater who I know left markers. A bunch of other folks did too but I am not sure who they were.
Please feel free to add more. My next task is to figure ouit how to make it shareable.
I’m a fellow cruiser and my favorite place to sail is anywhere in the Eastern Caribbean — nothing beats the people, the clear blue water, the trade winds, the palm trees and the music! In fact, my wife and I are sailing to the islands right now in our hand-built 34-ft. strip-planked gaff-rigged ketch, Woodwind. We began our journey in Gig Harbor, Washington, and just ventured through the Panama Canal. The islands of the Eastern Caribbean have been our second home, off and on for 30 years. There is nothing quite like the West Indies! We’re keeping our friends and family updated on our voyage and adventures along the way with our Web site and blog. OK, thanks, it worked for me giving it another try. I use to sail the Wed night races with my Bull 7000 here on my home water. Weekend sailing normally some 40km away in the Baltic Sea with a shared 36 footer. Did not want to mess up with two places.
Just added my favourite spot: Neusiedler See, a lake shared by Austria and Hungary!
i hope you see me in that map while blogging..
lol…
