  1. This monster does not represent the best in sailing but rather the best in budgets. In my humble and only partially informed opinion, the “America’s Cup” got silly a few races ago. This whole debacle of hosting the next race in a a shallow, man made area that features shallow water, light wind, and hot tea is preposterous. Let’s arrange for real racing. One class. One design. One budget cap. Multiple, international skippers flying THEIR own countries’ flag for a change. Grrrr.

  2. Cobblers Danny. This is what the America’s Cup should be about. This is what is was like in the old days. Two rich crazy old coots building the biggest baddest fastest boats they could. Richest craziest old coot with the most money and the best nerds in the design office wins. Magic.

  3. I find the huge scale inspiring and amazing in a fantastic wow! way. Big toys for you know who and I still want one.
But for heavens sake move on to the racing and enough of all the lawyers. Lets see the big beasts go head to head until someone crosses the lines or something breaks or both.

  4. I agree with all of you! It sucks but it’s what AC has always been about kinda. It will be fun to watch but I just hope that it’s conclusive and we get back to a regatta as great as Valnecia
