If you haven’t already paid it a visit, I strongly suggest you check out the Invisible Workshop blog, a lovely blog about small boat sailing and life in Catalonia. It’s a blog to lose yourself in.
The blog’s author, Ben lives in Catalonia, Spain (lucky bugger!). Ben built a 15ft yawl called Onawind (nice name) using a Gavin Atkins design. I think this is the same Gavin Atkin’s who has a blog called Intheboatshed
The thing that struck me between the eyes was the elegance of his blogroll, that I have captured to the left. Beautiful symmetry.
Ben is clearly a craftsman!
It is funny that you posted theinvisibleworkshop.blogspot.com blog roll, because that is how I found your site!
Impressive blog roll. Wish mine looked like that
Hi Adam, I have to admit that the idea of an ordered blog roll isn’t mine. I first saw it done on a tiki in thailand-the author had organised his blog roll from longest to shortest. One day when I couldn’t think what to post I just started fiddling with settings and remembered the idea.
Keep up the good work at messing about in sailboats!
Ben
You have the right Gavin Atkin, by the way!
It would be great if some more people followed Ben’s wonderful example and built the little boat.
He’s done an excellent job of demonstrating what he and the Light Trow can do, and I concur about his weblog – it’s a very nice job, with some super writing and dreamy photos.
There should be more of this kind of thing!
