Bruce and his wife Jan are sailing their wooden, gaff-rigged boat, Woodwind from Seattle back to Caribbean. So far they have passed through the Panama Canal. As of Thursday, Feb 22nd they were 200 miles off Jamaica fighting some vigrous conditions.
Frankly, I find most cruising blogs a bit disappointing. Bruce's is a good one. His wife Jan seems to be doing the writing and you get a real sense about what it's like to sail a wooden-planked boat over long distances in tough weather. The word Wet comes to mind.
