The missus and I are going down to Annapolis for a few days sailing on the Chesapeake. This is the first time I have actually been sailing since I started this blog in August. Fear not I will be back to soon to bore you rigid with tales of our adventures. Given the way I sail, navigate and deal with the vicissitudes of Chesapeake Bay, there will much to share.

Was sad to miss this year’s Newport Folk Festival, especially after hearing the report on NPR today. It sounded like the tribute to Joni Mitchel was very moving, and hearing her sing “Both Sides Now” with a supporting cast organized by Brandi Carlisle, made me tear up.
