According to the BBC, today is the 10th anniversary of the word weblog.
The term was invented by Jorn Barger who coined the term weblog in referring to his web site robot wisdom.
What a busy ten years, it’s been:
Technorati, which keeps an eye on the blogosphere,
estimates that there are now 120,000 new blogs being created every day.
Posts are being added to blogs at a rate of 17 per second – a total of
1.5 million per day, says the firm.
I wonder what the next 10 years will bring.
Is there any word less pleasurable to say than “blog”? Say it loud enough and you can induce vomiting in yourself.
