In praise of the other Puffy

I have been a friend and admirer of the great Puffmeister himself the Peconic Puffin for a while but thanks to the bloggings of the TMan I have been made aware of another Puffy. There is relatively new and very fine new organ, called Boat De Jour. And what a fine blog it is.

It is populated by a Captain Puffypants who sails a Capri in Texas (I think). His post called" Setting the Record Straight. Captain Puffypants Eats Crow" is well worth a read and I strongly recommend you vote for it here.

Boat De Jour is a blog with a great mission.

Welcome to my new adventure! I’m going to attempt the unimaginable, I’m going to find the perfect sailing vessel! But first, before the flaming begins, I want to be upfront about a few things. I am no expert on sailing or sailboats. I’m not a naval architect, nor a sailing instructor. In fact I’ve only been sailing with my wife for about a year and a half. In that short amount of time we have already owned 2 sailboats, which I will expand on in a later post. We are dreaming of our third!

This is where our adventure begins!

And yes, I’m aware that some folks are perpetuating the theory that there is no perfect sailboat, but as the title suggests, the quest for perfection is fluid, and the object of our quest changes… wait for it… daily!

So, welcome and I hope you will follow along, add some of your own advice, and enjoy the journey!

Welcome to the neighborhood Captain. Puffypants
