Response from Theo Dorgan

Theo Dorgan, the venerable Irish poet and author of Sailing for Home, read my post today about his book. Here is what he had to say:

Greetings from Dublin!

Thanks for the kind comments about SAILING FOR HOME. "Strangely compelling" appealed to me, I have to say!

Couldn't quite figure out whether "wild metaphysical tangents" appealed to you or not, though.
On balance not, would be my guess.

I've just finished a new book, trip from Punta Arenas around the Horn, on to Cape Town via Falklands/Malvinas and Tristan da Cunha
— South A tlantic in winter, 12m waves and 70 knots, THAT will give you a metaphysical tangent or two, let me tell ya.

Kind regards,
Theo Dorgan

For the record I meant the "metaphysical tangent" comment in a good way.
