Storm Casualty

We had a big storm in the Northeast last weekend (in case you didn't know). This shot was taken from the galley at Raritan Yacht Club at Perth Amboy. The boatyard where Messing About is right now faced winds of 50kts gusting to 70! The carnage was minimal with two exceptions. This boat, Stinky Dog a 40' C&C owned by a fellow RYC club-member. I have sailed on her and she's a beauty. Despite being blown off her stands, the damage could have been a lot worse. So far it looks like the worse issue is a buggered rudder. His neighbor fared worse. She was 38' Catalina that has been moved out of the way but when Stinky Dog fell over, her back-stay took the Catalina's mast down. Now the insurance companies get it to duke it out
